Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:
I greet you all in the name of our Lord.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I have a word from the Lord for you, given to us through the apostle Paul: "Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving" (Colossians 4:2). Why would the apostle Paul need to exhort us to continue earnestly in prayer? Because it is so easy to become distracted with things of lesser importance. We know that we cannot take anything with us when we leave planet earth and yet we can easily become preoccupied with accumulating material possessions. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Let us pray boldly in Jesus' name, standing under His authority, surrendered to His will.
As we prepare for the General Conference Session in
I encourage you as one of "His own special people" to participate in the international prayer initiative on
Wishing you all blessings in Jesus' name.
